Wesley Ross "Yot" Chessher of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Thursday night, October 21, 2010, in the St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 56 years.
Wesley Ross "Yot" Chessher was born on February 24, 1954, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Weldon F. Chessher and Vivian E. (Baker) Chessher. He grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools graduating in 1972. He attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa where he played trombone with the Roustabouts. He was a skilled mechanic and loved to work on cars and motorcycles. He was employed at the Kawasaki dealership in Ponca City, Oklahoma and Napa Auto Parts in Blackwell, Oklahoma.
Wesley is survived by one son, Robert Chessher of Blackwell, Oklahoma; one daughter, Jennifer Chessher of Blackwell, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Larain Percifield of Blackwell, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Pam Campbell of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Mary Kessinger of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Wesley was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis Lavon Conrad.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2010, in the Blackwell Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Bookout of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
