Wanda Lee Miller was born on July 27, 1928, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Lloyd "Sandy" and Mamye (Peddicord) Richardson. She grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools graduating in 1946. She married Rodney L. Miller on November 3, 1946, in Blackwell and they settled in Blackwell where she worked with her mother at the Snow White Market. She later began working as a dental assistant for Dr. Jack Donathan and worked there for over twenty years. Following her retirement she sold real estate for the Weigle Agency for three years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Blackwell and the Elk's Lodge. She enjoyed working in the yard, birds, dancing and her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Miller of Blackwell; two daughters, Sherry Scott and husband Butch of Blackwell and Debbie Glass and husband Rudy of Blackwell; a sister, Peggy Conaway and husband Les of Blackwell; a brother, Kenneth Richardson and wife Patty of Pryor; grandchildren, Garrick Glass, Garth Glass and wife Lacie, and Gina Lenon and husband Jason all of Blackwell; and great grandchildren, Allison, Brett and Peyton Lenon and Bella Glass all of Blackwell. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel with James W. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Honorary Casketbearers will be Raymond Johns, Donnie Hall, Keith Jeffries and Wesley Webb. Casketbearers will be Garrick Glass, Garth Glass, Jason Lenon, Butch Scott, Rudy Glass and Glen Johnson.
