Virginia "Grandy" Lenker of Norman Oklahoma, died Monday, July 25, 2011, at the Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 90 years.

Virginia "Grandy" Lenker was born on June 24, 1921, in Towanda, Kansas, to Ray and Ella (Schneider) Ralston. She grew up in El Dorado, Kansas, attending El Dorado Public Schools graduating from El Dorado High School in 1939. She furthered her education at the Butler County Community College receiving an Associate's Degree in business. Following her education she began working for the Roxy Theater in Arkansas City, Kansas. On April 17, 1951, she married Lyman Gilbert Lenker in Wichita, Kansas, and they settled in Blackwell, Oklahoma, where she and her husband owned and operated the Lenker Drug Store. She also managed a farming and ranching operation raising horses and cattle. In 1973 they sold the drug store and moved to Wichita, Kansas. On December 28, 1980, Lyman preceded her in death and she moved to Norman, Oklahoma, where she spent her time as "Grandy" helping raise her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing golf, raising horses and cattle and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was survived by one daughter, Lynn Lenker of Norman, Oklahoma; one son, Gil Lenker and wife Lollie of Norman, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Laura Murray and husband Kevin of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kathryn Lenker of Norman, Oklahoma, and Lyman Lenker IV of Norman, Oklahoma; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dick, Lyle, and Warren Ralston; and two sisters, Katie Scribner and Helen Ranney.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30th at the Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. Larok O. Martin of St. Joseph's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
