Vickie Jo Smith was born on January 22, 1952, in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Roy and Georgia (Baker) Lively. She grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools and graduated from Blackwell High School in 1970. She then attended beauty school in Enid, Oklahoma, from 1970-1971. She married Jerry Smith on May 15, 1971, in Blackwell and they made their home in Blackwell. She worked for various beauty shops in Blackwell and in 1990 she started Vickie's Hair Affair. She loved going to the coffee shop, collecting beer steins, and spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Smith of Blackwell, Oklahoma; her mother, Georgia Lively of Blackwell, Oklahoma; a daughter, Sarah Smith of Blackwell, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Rilee Smith of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Shelbie Smith of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Zackary Green of Blackwell, Oklahoma; three brothers, Robert Lively of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Monty Lively of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Pete Lively of Blackwell, Oklahoma; and one sister, Debbie Riley of Blackwell, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Lively; one son, Travis Smith; and her grandmother, Neva Vosburg.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at the Blackwell Cemetery with James W. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
