Trudy Gail Farmer, a cherished member of the community and a beacon of kindness and dedication, passed away peacefully at Greenbriar Skilled Nursing in Enid, Oklahoma, on September 6, 2026.

Trudy Gail Farmer was born on June 29, 1949, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Trudy’s life was a testament to compassion, resilience, and love. She was the daughter of the late John and Edna Crittenden.

Trudy grew up in Blackwell, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Blackwell Public Schools with the class of 1967. She furthered her education at Northern Oklahoma College, earning her associate’s degree in Business. This academic foundation led to a fruitful career at CONOCO, where she dedicated twenty-five years to the accounting and billing department—showing her organizational talents and attention to detail.

Trudy was a proud lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, serving diligently for fifty years. Her commitment to helping veterans was unwavering, and she found immense joy in contributing to their welfare. Trudy’s compassionate nature extended beyond her professional life; she was a devoted family woman who cherished time spent with loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Farmer, as well as her parents, John and Edna Crittenden.

Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her sister, Sherry Landers; nephew, Justin Landers and his wife Julie of Borger, Texas; niece, Le Ann Glass of Blackwell; great-nephew, Dylan Landers and wife Kelsie of Blackwell, Oklahoma; great-niece, Darcy Moxley and her husband Cade of Mustang, Oklahoma; great-great-niece, Brynn Moxley of Mustang, Oklahoma; Destiny Houck and husband Camden; Connor and Gwen Houck of Owasso, Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Jean Farmer of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Trudy’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their prayers and support. They wish to thank the dedicated staff, doctors, nurses, and physical therapy team at St. Mary’s Hospital—as well as Angel Care Home Health and Fresenius Kidney Care in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and the Otoe–Missouria Tribal Transit Program in Red Rock, Oklahoma.

In honor of Trudy’s memory, donations may be made in her honor to the VFW Auxiliary of Oklahoma, c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Roberts Memorial Chapel at Roberts and Son Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 2, 2026, with Rev. John Newland officiating.

A private burial will be held at a latter date.
