Tristan Dean Wynn of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, at his home in Blackwell at the age of 17 years.
Tristan Dean Wynn was born on July 1, 1993, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Darin Dean and Cindy Lynn (Rowe) Wynn. He grew up in Stillwater before moving to Blackwell where he attended Blackwell Public Schools all his life and was currently a senior at Blackwell High School. While in school, he was active in the band, where he played the saxophone. He was also taking courses at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa and had recently been accepted into the Digital Media and Animation program as well as performing with the Roustabout musical group. He was a member of the Hosanna Assembly of God Church in Stillwater. He enjoyed playing video games, golf, fishing, swimming, drawing and target shooting. He had also written a science fiction novel and loved working on various computer and internet projects.
He is survived by his parents, Darin and Cindy Wynn of Blackwell; his grandparents, Elmer and Thurra Wynn and Clayton and Joyce Rowe, both of Blackwell; a brother, Landon Wynn of Blackwell; an aunt, Patty Rowe Vogt and husband John of Blackwell; an uncle, David Wynn and wife Brenda of Amelia, Ohio; two cousins, Nicholas Wynn of Amelia, Ohio, and Annalaura Vogt of Blackwell; and his girlfriend, Tiffany Friend of Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 22nd in the Blackwell High School Auditorium with Rev. Steve Taylor of Ada, Oklahoma, officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be John Vogt, J. Wayne Hudson, Ronald Young all of Blackwell, Ralph Wynn Jr., and Mike Wynn both of Ponca City and Tessa Sheets of Winslow, Arizona.
Honorary Casketbearers are Annalaura Vogt and Nicholas Wynn.
A memorial has been established in his honor with Blackwell Music Boosters, in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
