Tony Ray Ebert of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, in the Alliance Health – Ponca City at the age of 53 years.
Tony Ray Ebert was born on March 21, 1963, in Blackwell to Lester B. and Vicki A. (Bay) Ebert Jr. He grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools. During his formative years, he participated in the Oklahoma State and Golden Gloves boxing program. Following his education he began working in the family business, Ebert Enterprises, manufacturing tanks for grain, fertilizer and other various agricultural needs. In 1984 he entered the Oklahoma National Guard and served during Granada. He was discharged in 1987 and continued working for Ebert Enterprises until his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed leatherwork and playing video games and being with his dog.
He is survived by his parents; Les and Vicki Ebert Jr. of Blackwell; his grandfather, Lester Ebert Sr. of Blackwell; a daughter, Jari Shea Ebert of Blackwell; three sons, Brandon Dean Ebert of Blackwell, Bryce Wayne Ebert of Cushing, and Justin Lee Bannister of Missouri; a sister, Sue Golliver of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Pat and Laura Ebert of Lewistown, Illinois, Mike and Jeanne Ebert of Van Buren, Arkansas, Carmen Ebert of Pekin, Illinois, Darlene Weiland and Dean Bay of Blackwell; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Waneta (Barrows)Ebert, Margaret (Evans) Scudder and Carl E. Bay; and a sister, Celeste Leann Ebert.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with Rev. Mike Ebert officiating.
