Timmy Ray McConnell of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Friday, July 20, 2012, at the Blackwell Regional Hospital in Blackwell at the age of 53 years.

Timmy Ray McConnell was born on April 6, 1959, in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He was the son of Leon Jay and Maudie (Beatty) McConnell. He grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools. Following his education he continued to live in Blackwell working for various jobs in the Blackwell area. He enjoyed fishing, four wheeling, his dogs and being a practical joker.

He is survived by three daughters, Rachel Vowell and husband Trevor of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Katie Pryor of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Elaine McConnell of Arkansas; one son, Ronnie McConnell of Blackwell, Oklahoma; his companion, Elaine Wilson of Blackwell, Oklahoma; father, Leon McConnell of Blackwell, Oklahoma; his mother, Maudie Morris of Douglassville, Texas; four brothers, Jimmy and Mark McConnell, and Kenneth and Tommy Morris; two grandchildren, Samantha and Valerie Vowell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Blackwell, with Rev. Mark Meador officiating.
