Obituary

Thomas Ray Wyckoff of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died early Thursday morning, July 23, 2009, in the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 69 years.

Thomas Ray Wyckoff was born on November 12, 1939, on the family farm south of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, to Herbert Allen and Maude (Ellis) Wyckoff. He grew up in Tonkawa attending Tonkawa Public Schools graduating from Tonkawa High School in 1957. He then furthered his education by attending Northern Oklahoma Junior College where he graduated with an associate's degree. He married Ernestine "Tina" Marie Almgren in 1960 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, and they settled in La Juanta, Colorado, where he worked on his brother Harold's ranch. In 1964 they moved to Tonkawa and he began working in the oilfields for Serv – Rigs in the Enid, Oklahoma, district. In 1988 he retired due to an accident and in 2000 they moved to Blackwell to make their home. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and various other outdoor activities.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Wyckoff of Blackwell, Oklahoma; three daughters, Connie Storm of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Lori Fraser and husband Matt of Cheasapeake Bay, Virginia, and Tracy Ray and husband Robbie Chitwood of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; a son, Todd Wyckoff and wife Kim of Ponca City, Oklahoma; a sister, Doris Wilkins of Denver, Colorado; a brother, Erwin Wyckoff and wife Delores of Marland, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Ariel Branson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Shawni and Shelsea Storm of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Ashley Montgomery of Olive, Oklahoma, and Nathan and Kayla Cook of Cheasapeake Bay, Virginia; and three great grandchildren, Dakota, Cheyenne and Austin Montgomery of Olive, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Harold, Bob and Leon Wyckoff.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 27th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with the Rev. Matt Smith of Immanuel Baptist Church in Blackwell, officiating. Burial will follow in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery in Tonkawa, Oklahoma.
