Obituary
Stanley John Maruska, formerly of Nardin, Oklahoma, died early Tuesday morning, April 19, 2016, in the Ponca City Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 82 years.
Stanley John Maruska was born on November 7, 1933, in Nardin, Oklahoma, to John and Mildred (Vavra) Maruska. He grew up in the Nardin area and attended Claire School. He married Rachel Stratton and worked as a farmer in Nardin for many years before his retirement. He later married Wanda Nell Campbell on October 31, 1972, in Pawhuska and they settled on the farm. He was a member of the Nardin United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his children, step-children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a son, Dean Maruska.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 21st in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Nardin, Oklahoma, with Rev. Robert Foos of Jones United Methodist Church officiating.
A memorial has been established in his honor with the Nardin United Methodist Church in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
