Obituary

Funeral services for Sally Jo Morrill, 72, lifetime Blackwell resident, will be held on Saturday, January 19th, at 1:00 p.m., in the First Presbyterian Church in Blackwell with the Rev. Eric Dittman officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery under the direction of Roberts and Son Funeral Home.

Sally was born on October 16, 1935, in Blackwell to Irvin and Eunice (Fedonia) Ebright and passed away January 18, 2008, in the Blackwell Regional Hospital. Sally grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools graduating in 1953. Sally married her high school sweetheart, Lance Morrill, after a long courtship on December 17, 1954. To this union two children were born, Michael Willard and Jami Lea.

Together, they farmed southwest of Blackwell until they retired from farming in 1996. She also drove a school bus for Union #61 School. Sally was very active in the First Presbyterian Church serving as a Deacon and was involved in P.W.C. She was also active in the Blackwell Alumni Association and the Blackwell Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, Michael Morrill and wife, Christina of Perry, Oklahoma; her daughter, Jami Lohmeyer and husband Bryan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Pat Blakely and husband Thurston of Plano, Texas, and Judy Potter and husband Jim of Texas; her father-in-law, Tom Hall of Blackwell; her daughter-in-law, Janet Morrill of Blackwell; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Rowe and husband Jason of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Jason Morrill and wife Amy of Blackwell, Jeremy Morrill of Blackwell, Jordan, Lance, Madison and Bryson Lohmeyer of Tulsa, and Lukus and Caleb Peery of Perry; and six great grandchildren, Kirsten and Kaden Rowe of Ponca City, and Hannah, Braden, Emma and Colin Morrill of Blackwell.

She is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends and will greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Lance Richard and Marty Wayne; her parents; her mother-in-law, Helen (Brown) Hall; and her father-in-law, Willard Morrill.
