Ruth Ann Buesing formerly of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, in the St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 71 years.

Ruth Ann Buesing was born on January 4, 1938, in Peckham, Oklahoma, to Arthur and LaVerne Klein. She grew up in Blackwell and attended Blackwell Public Schools graduating from Blackwell High School in 1957. Following her education she married Dale Buesing on October 4, 1957, in Blackwell and they made their home in Blackwell. They moved to Kansas City, Missouri, when her husband was transferred in 1965 and settled in Liberty, Missouri, where they raised their two daughters. Ruth worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue in Kansas City. Following their retirement they returned to Blackwell in 1997 where she served on the Blackwell City Council. Her husband preceded her in death on January 23, 2001, and she continued to make Blackwell her home. In 2007 she moved to Gladstone, Missouri, to live with her daughter. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Buff Denise Shank of Gladstone, Missouri, and Diana Dalene Clay of Shelby Township, Michigan; two grandchildren, Megan Dalene Peine of Lexington, Missouri, and Ray William Clay IV of Shelby Township, Michigan; and a great granddaughter, Ireland Eve Shank of Kansas City, Missouri.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, George Klein.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 5th in the St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Dehne officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Serving as casketbearers will be Ray Clay IV, Mike Buesing, David Buesing, Patrick Klein, Bob Klein and John Klein.
