Rozella Francis Goodwin of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died early Sunday morning, December 30, 2007, in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Blackwell at the age of 89 years.
Rozella Francis Goodwin was born on January 16, 1918, in Independence, Kansas, the daughter of Willard and Anna Lillibridge. She grew up in Tyro, Kansas, where she graduated high school.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and has been a resident of Blackwell for the past twenty years. She enjoyed playing duplicate bridge and serving as a volunteer at the Integris Blackwell Regional Hospital.
She is survived by her five children, William D. Goodwin of Franklin, Tennessee, Deanna Wyckoff of Oriental, North Carolina, Sondra Sue Nelson of Phoenix, Arizona, Judy Yunker of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Larry Goodwin of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a brother, Edward Lillibridge of Allentown, Pennsylvania; a sister, Georgina Lessman of Wichita, Kansas; thirteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brice Goodwin of Independence, Kansas; a brother, Austin Lillibridge; two sisters, Emma Cassady and Estella Nitz; and a grandson, Kurtis Kirkendoll.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2008, in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas, with William D. Goodwin officiating.
