Robert A. "Bob" Smith formerly of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, near his home in South St. Paul, Minnesota, at the age of 47 years.

Robert A. "Bob" Smith was born on October 4, 1961, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Robert Austin and Valeria (Wolfe) Smith. He grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools. Following his education he worked in the family business until his father's death in December of 1993. In 1996 he moved to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area to live and work near his sister and her family. He currently was working in heavy equipment sales for Astleford Equipment Company.

He is survived by his mother, Valeria Smith; a sister, Patty Smith; a niece, Kate Porteous; and two nephews, John Kriter and Jordan Porteous.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2009, in the Blackwell Cemetery with the Rev. Matt Smith of the Immanuel Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be John Kriter, Jordan Porteous, Kurt Kriter, Tracy Tebow, Tony Vowell, Morgan Bergman and Brett Bergman.
