Dottie Ralene Patrick of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died Sunday afternoon, July 22, 2012, in the Ponca City Medical Center at the age of 69 years.
Dottie Ralene Patrick was born on January 26, 1943, in Cherryvale, Kansas, to Raymond Fredrick and Dorothy Elizabeth (Moon) Bush. As a young girl she moved with her family to Blackwell where she attended Blackwell Public Schools and graduated in 1960. She furthered her education by attending Northern Oklahoma Junior College in Tonkawa for a year. She married Jack L. Patrick on August 10, 1962, in Blackwell where she served her family as a homemaker. In 1973 they moved to Denver, Colorado, and she worked as a florist for several years. She then began working as a secretary for Simons Company and Patton's Construction Systems in Denver. She later worked for four years for Baker Tanks. In October of 2010 they moved to Ponca City to make their home. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women in Missions. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, knitting, reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Jack Patrick of Ponca City; a daughter, Jean M. Armstrong of Gypsum, Colorado; three sons, Derek Patrick of Denver, Colorado, Timothy Patrick of Gypsum, Colorado, and David Patrick of Henderson, Colorado; three sisters, Sherri Blubaugh of Ponca City, Susan Parker of Boerne, Texas, and Jeannie Harrold of Oologah, Oklahoma; a brother, Kent Bush of Blackwell; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 25th in the First Lutheran Church in Ponca City with Rev. Michael Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
