Quintin Shane Day of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Saturday morning, September 1, 2012, in Blackwell, Oklahoma at the age of 24 years.
Quintin Shane Day was born on October 26, 1987 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Scott Dwayne and Kimberly Kay (Jones) Day. He grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools. Following his education he entered the United States Army serving in Iraq. Following his discharge he returned to Blackwell and began working for Calvary Construction. He enjoyed fishing, rock climbing, and listening to country music. He also loved spending time with his daughter and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Jeslyn Day of Blackwell; his mother, Kim Rigdon and husband Jim of Blackwell; his father, Scott Day and wife Tammy of Blackwell; a sister, Samantha Prince and husband John of Blackwell; six brothers, Cash Anthony of Blackwell, Braun Day of Blackwell, Grant Rigdon of Blackwell, Joseph Day of Blackwell, Gunar Rigdon of Blackwell, and Payden Day of Blackwell; maternal grandparents, Larry and Mary Jones of Blackwell; paternal grandmother, Karen Day of Blackwell; step grandparents, Bill and Louise Rigdon of Blackwell, Kathryn Rigdon of Dallas, Texas, and Rick and Nancy Hood of Neosho, Missouri; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Day; and a step grandfather, Keith Neamon.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 6th in the Blackwell High School Auditorium in Blackwell with Rev. Cliff Johnson of The Tabernacle officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
