Phyllis Rhenea Mullen formerly of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Monday morning, August 29, 2011, at her home in Ponca City at the age of 53 years.

Phyllis Rhenea Mullen was born on August 26, 1958, in Amarillo, Texas, to Leon and Eunice (Kolb) Mullen. As an infant she moved with her family to Decatur, Arkansas, before moving to Gravette, Arkansas, where she attended school until the seventh grade. They moved to Dardanelle, Arkansas, where she completed her education by graduating from Dardanelle High School in 1976. She then began working for the Val Mack Processing Company in Dardanelle. In 1980 she moved to New York state before returning to Amarillo to make her home. In 1981 she moved to Blackwell and began working as a nurse's aide for the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home. She later moved to Ponca City to make her home. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Blackwell.

She is survived by two daughters, Heather and Christal Lawrence of Watonga, Oklahoma; a son, Bobby Lawrence of Watonga, Oklahoma; two sisters, Diana Byler of Amarillo, Texas, and Melvina Helberg of Blackwell, Oklahoma; and four brothers, Kenneth Mullen of Little Rock, Arkansas, Russell Mullen of Lexington, Oklahoma, Dallas Mullen of Gravette, Arkansas, and Marty Mullen of Rogers, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Cimarron Mullen.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3rd in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with the Rev. Micah Wells of First Assembly of God Church in Ponca City officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Serving as casketbearers will be Chris Mullen, Mike Mullen, Bryan Vaughn, Richard Bryer, Nathaniel Helberg, Travis Mullen and Blake Mullen. Honorary casketbearer will be Bobby Lawrence.
