Obituary

Patty Ann Ganer Goff was a Christian lady, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, the architect of her family. Whose teachings combined many of these values held firm in her life…Love-Honor-Duty-Compassion-Patience-Respect-A Friend-Positive-Joyful-Sharing-Caring-Empathy and Devotion. She essentially made you what you have become.

Patty Ann, age 83, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away on April 2, 2013, after a decade long journey through Alzheimer's Disease.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 at Roberts and Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Foos, of Jones, Ok. officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Patty was born in Deer Creek, Oklahoma on July 3, 1929. Her parents were Arthur David Ganer and Anna Lee (Rea) Ganer. She graduated from Deer Creek High School and continued on to receive a Bachelors' Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Reading from Northwestern University at Alva, Oklahoma.

Patty was married to Donald Lavern Goff on February 26, 1949; they were married 64 years. The couple had five children known to many as the 5-K's; Kelly, Kirk, Krista, Kim, and King.
Patty worked as a Cosmetologist in her "Fashion Flair" Beauty Salon for 10 years. Upon completing her Degree in Education she began her teaching career at Deer Creek Elementary School and remained until her retirement in 1984. She enjoyed cooking, canning, quilting, golfing, and doing for others. Many fondly recall Patty dropping by gift of jelly or an Angel Food Cake. She was also actively involved in any organization in Deer Creek that offered help for people in need, helping found the Deer Creek Thrift Store and Deer Creek Library.

Patty is survived by husband Donald L. Goff; sister Jackie (Ganer) Steffen and husband Doyle, sister-in-law Freda Ganer; children Kelly Lee Goff and wife Wilberta, Kirk Lavern Goff and wife Niki, Krista (Goff) Perkins and husband Mike, Kim (Goff) White and husband Glen, and King David Goff and wife Claudia; grandchildren Kirstyn Davis, Shayla Walker, Kahle Goff, Clayton Goff, Jason White, Kasey Goff, Kris Perkins, Jay Goff, Amanda Salazar, Haley Goff, Ross Goff, Emily Reynolds, Dakota York and Gatlin York; and 16 great-grandchildren and other family and friends.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Anna Lee Ganer and her brother Donald David Ganer.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Hillcrest Manor Alzheimer's Unit or The Good Buy Shop (Blackwell, Ok) benefitting the Opportunity Center, through Roberts and Sons Funeral Home. The family of Patty Ann Goff wishes to thank the phenomenal caregivers at Hillcrest Nursing Home and Image Hospice.
