Patricia Mae "Pat" Ray of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010, in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Blackwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years.

Patricia Mae "Pat" Ray was born on March 4, 1939, in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the daughter of David and Viola (Gill) Griest. She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, attending Phoenix Public Schools. After her education she began working at a grocery store and later began working for the stock exchange as a board girl. She married Charles O. Ray in Winterhaven, California, and they settled in Phoenix, Arizona, and she began working for Motorola. They had two daughters Bonnie and Katherine. They later moved to several towns before settling in Pine Top, Arizona, where she began working as a housekeeper for a guest house. In 1992 they moved to Tonkawa, Oklahoma, and she began working as a cook for nursing homes. On July 21, 1995, Charles preceded her in death and she continued to make Tonkawa her home. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Katherine Minix and husband Marvin of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, and Bonnie Williams and husband David of Colfax, Iowa; three grandchildren, Wilma Mae Kendle of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Charles Eugene Williams of Colfax, Iowa, and Jackie Maelynn Williams of Colfax, Iowa.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, David Griest.

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010, in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell, Oklahoma, with Rev. Robert Foos of Image Hospice officiating.
