Patricia Ann " Pat" North of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Thursday, February 21, 2013, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Blackwell at the age of 79 years.

Patricia Ann "Pat" North was born on July 6, 1933, in Blackwell to William and Frances (Olds) Jobe. She grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools graduating from Blackwell High School in 1951. Following her education she moved to California where she began working for an insurance company. While there she reunited with Blackwell native Richard L. North and they married on April 11, 1953, in Los Angeles, California. While Richard was serving overseas in the military, Pat continued living in California. In 1956 Richard returned and they moved back to Blackwell where Pat helped in the farming operation and served her family as a homemaker. When her boys entered school Pat began working at the Blackwell Nursing Home and later worked at Mistletoe Express and Southwest Cupid. On August 18, 2002, Richard preceded her in death and she continued making Blackwell her home. Following her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at her church and the Good Buy Shop. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and was very involved with her children and grandchildren's activities. She enjoyed traveling and was always on the go, enjoyed bowling and crocheting.

She is survived by three sons, Richard A. North and wife Debbie, John North and wife Rozelle, and Rodney North and wife Debra all of Blackwell; eight grandchildren, Micah North, Shaundra (North) Blundell, Cecil Weber, Jerry Weber, Josh North, Jesse North, Sarah (Stolhand) Troutman and Nick North; thirteen great grandchildren; three great- great grandchildren; and two sisters, Lou Ella Younger of Oilton, Oklahoma, and Darla Love of Union, South Carolina.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William "Bob" Jobe, and Larry Jobe.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 25th in the Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Jobe and Rev. Matt Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Micah North, Shaundra (North) Blundell, Cecil Weber, Jerry Weber, Josh North, Jesse North, Sarah (Stolhand) Troutman and Nick North.

Honorary Casketbearers will be the Good Buy Shop Staff.
