Pansy Mattie Marshall Hall passed away Saturday morning, November 1, 2008, surrounded by family at her granddaughter's home in Meeker Oklahoma. She was born on October 20, 1911, to the late Lee F. & SirRilla Marshall in rural Kay County, Oklahoma. She graduated from Wichita East High School in Wichita, Kansas. She married Kermit Hall on Sept 12, 1932, and they had two children, Roland, and Louise. Pansy loved to travel and to entertain family and friends. She always had a drink & food to offer a guest in her house. Pansy was a long time resident of the South Haven, Kansas, community before moving to Blackwell, Oklahoma. But in latter years she moved closer to her granddaughter Troylene in Meeker, Oklahoma, where she could be close to family. Troylene's daughter nick named Pansy, "Grandma Pete", so she became "Grandma Pete" to all the great grandchildren. She stayed in touch through many phone calls and visits with family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Louise Breding & husband John of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren; Jill Hall of Bedford Texas; Troylene Kinnamon and husband Michael of Meeker, Oklahoma, Dena Gatlin and husband Michael of Buffalo, Kansas, Desty Hall of Bedford, Texas, Candece Hanson and husband Wendell of Sachse, Texas, John Breding Jr. and wife Kari of Flower Mound, Texas, Marva Yarnell and husband Raymond and Gwenda Runner, all of Chanute, Kansas, Victor Runner and wife Teri of Fredonia, Kansas; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Hall; and son, Roland Hall; two sisters, Goldie Juvenal and Bernice Maltbie; and three brothers, Carl, Marshall and Herbert Marshall.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church in South Haven, Kansas, with Rev. Russell McCalister of First United Methodist Church in South Haven, Kansas, officiating. Burial will follow at the Goodel Cemetery in Drury, Kansas.
A memorial has been established at the First United Methodist Church in South Haven, Kansas, in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
