Obituary

Nancy Juanita Hinman of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died early Friday morning, December 9, 2011, in the Highland Park Manor in Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 76 years.

Nancy Juanita Hinman was born on February 8, 1935, in Blackwell to Jim and Mary (Lafferty) Newland. She grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools. Following her education she married Jimmy Ray Hinman on October 10, 1951, in Newkirk, Oklahoma, and they settled in Blackwell where she served her family as a homemaker. In the late 1970's she owned and operated the City Cab Company in Blackwell for five years. Following her retirement she returned to the home to care for her family. Her husband preceded her in death on April 17, 1997, and she continued to make Blackwell her home. In 2010 she moved to Deer Creek, Oklahoma, to live with her daughter. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell and enjoyed shopping, dining out and taking short trips.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Bufford of Deer Creek, Oklahoma; a son, Jimmy D. Hinman of Blackwell; a brother, Jimmy Newland of Blackwell; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bobby Joe Hinman; a sister, Barbara Jefferson; and a grandson, Nicholas Hinman.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 12th in the Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Bookout of the First Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
