Millie Sue Scott formerly of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Wednesday morning, September 3, 2014, in the Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 79 years.
Millie Sue Scott was born on November 17, 1934, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, to Orpha and Florence (Lebow) Green. She attended Hennessey Public Schools. Following her education she married Marion Randolph "Randy" Scott on February 21, 1951, in Enid, Oklahoma, and they settled in Guthrie where she served her family as a homemaker. They lived in various communities while her husband worked in the oilfields and spent nine years in Andrews, Texas. In 1965 they moved to Blackwell to make their home. Her husband preceded her in death in 1997. She continued to make Blackwell her home until 2014 when she moved to Oklahoma City to be with her daughter. She enjoyed cooking, baking and watching sporting events, especially the Oklahoma Sooners.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Manning of Oklahoma City; a son, Randy Scott of Ponca City; two sisters, Elizabeth Lee of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Mary Winburn of Newkirk; three brothers, Dale Green of Watonga, Fred Green of Enid, and Jim Green of Terlton; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary Scott; and three brothers, Ira, Danny and Bobby Green
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 5th in the Blackwell Cemetery with
Rev. Don Stanton of Faith Tabernacle in Ponca City officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
