Obituary

Mildred Clonts of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Friday evening, May 21, 2010, in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Blackwell at the age of 96 years.

Mildred Clonts was born on January 8, 1914, in Viola, Arkansas, to Tim and Fannie (Lancaster) Foster. As a young girl she moved with her family to Gypsy, Oklahoma. On March 13, 1936, she married Hubert Lee Clonts in Milfay, Oklahoma, and they settled there until 1942 when they moved to California. After two years on the west coast, they returned to Oklahoma and made Stroud their home for three years and she served her family as a homemaker. In 1948 they moved to Blackwell and she continued as a homemaker. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell.

She is survived by a daughter, Alice Leech of Stark City, Missouri; four sons, Harold L. Clonts of Stark City, Missouri, James R. Clonts of Beaumont, Texas, Hubert Clonts of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Gail A. Clonts of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and nineteen great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990; her parents; two sisters, Bernice Shamblin and Mary Gadberry; and four brothers, Goldman, Robert, Sloan and Murl Foster.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 24th in the Blackwell Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Bookout of First Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
