Michael George McGuire of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Wednesday morning, November 19, 2008, in the Ponca City Medical Center at the age of 51 years.
Michael George McGuire was born on September 6, 1957, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to George Franklin and Betty Francine (King). He grew up in Blackwell until the age of six when he moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and became of resident of the Hissom Memorial Center. In 1990 he moved to the Billings Fairchild Center before moving to the Opportunity Center in Ponca City, Oklahoma, in 1994. He was a member of The Tabernacle Church in Blackwell. He enjoyed singing and dancing. He also enjoyed attending church and reading his Bible.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, George and Shirley McGuire of Blackwell, Oklahoma; two sisters, Susan Bell of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Debbie Wallace of Anadarko, Oklahoma; two brothers, Jack McGuire and wife Jan of Columbia, Illinois, and Darrin McGuire and wife Cindy of Blackwell, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Tommy McGuire; and two brothers-in-law, Daryl Bell and Gary Wallace.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22nd in the Blackwell Cemetery with the Rev. Cliff Johnson of The Tabernacle officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
