Megan Ryan Glenny of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Monday evening, September 20, 2010, at her home in Blackwell at the age of 27 years.
Megan Ryan Glenny was born on October 1, 1982, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Jeffrey Kent and Dee (Moore) Glenny. She grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools graduating in 2001. She furthered her education by attending Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City for a year and a half. She then moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she both attended and worked at the University of Phoenix. She also worked for a short time for Verizon Communications. In 2009 she returned to Blackwell to make her home. She enjoyed attending Medieval festivals, reading and embroidery and had a love for animals and children.
She is survived by her mother, Dee Glenny of Blackwell, Oklahoma; two sisters, Amanda Bradford of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Sarah Ferretti and husband Rene of Firestone, Colorado; a brother, Jeff Glenny and wife Karen of Marietta, Georgia; grandparents, Phyllis Glenny of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Max and Frankie Moore of Blackwell, Oklahoma; a niece, Montana Glenny of Marietta, Georgia; three nephews, Julian Ferretti of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Dominic and Jayden Ferretti of Firestone, Colorado; and her companion, Shane Wickham of Blackwell, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandfather, Ray Glenny.
Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 24th in the First United Methodist Church in Blackwell with the Rev. Robert and Tara Foos of First United Methodist Church in Edmond officiating.
