Obituary

Maxine Lyvon Anderson of Marland, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at her residence at the age of 72 years.

Maxine Lyvon Anderson was born on March 14, 1939, in Mountain View, Arkansas. She was the daughter of John Franklin and Iva Evelyn (Burns) Fulks. She grew up in Mountain View and attended Mountain View Public Schools. At the age of ten years she moved with her family to Ponca City, Oklahoma, where she attended Ponca City Public Schools graduating from Ponca City Highschool in 1958. On October 1, 1958, she married Willard Dean Anderson and they made their home in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She began working for the Midwest Creamery and later went to work for Ken's Hamburgers working there for ten years. She then began to serve her family as a "domestic goddess". In 1985 they moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and after Willard's retirement from the milk company they began managing a storage company for several years and later moving to a farm in Marland after Maxine's health started to decline. She loved to spend time with her family where her grandchildren were her life, she enjoyed cooking and sewing for her family and special occasions.

She is survived by her husband, Willard Dean Anderson of Marland, Oklahoma; two daughters, Melissa Robins of Marland, Oklahoma, and Patricia Brumley and husband Robert of Marland, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Camille Robins, Brittany Brumley, Jordan Brumley, Colton Brumley, Savannah Brumley, Matthew Anderson, and Merrick Anderson; and two brothers, Charles Fulks of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Lonnie Fulks of Konawa, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Johnny Anderson; three infant children; and one sister, Irene Burpo.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, October 29th at 2:00 p.m. in the Life Springs Worship Center in Ponca City with Rev. Roy Burpo of Lannius, Texas, and Rev. Mike Sweetman of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, officiating. Private family burial will be in the Bressie Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.

The family will be at the funeral home on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. to greet friends.
