Mary Lou Stuever Heise formerly of Blackwell died Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at her home in Tulsa at the age of 61 years.
Mary Lou Stuever Heise was born on September 20, 1949, in Winfield, Kansas, to W. J. "Dick" and Alice (Harshman) Stuever of rural Braman. Mary Lou loved growing up on the family farm, especially showing animals as a Braman 4-H member and spending time with her pony, Dusty. She graduated from Blackwell High School in 1968 and continued her education at Okmulgee Tech receiving a degree in culinary arts. Living in Tulsa she was employed at St. John's Hospital for a short time and then at Wal-Mart until her death. She and Donald Heise were married in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in 1992. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1998. Mary Lou loved family gatherings, her nieces and nephews, grandchildren, visiting Branson and animals.
She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Loop and husband Robert E. of Wellington, Kansas, and Julia Stuever of Blackwell; three brothers, James Stuever and wife Mary of Tonkawa, Charles Stuever and wife Vicki of Enid, Oklahoma, and Cecil Stuever and wife Patty of Blackwell; a step-daughter, Janelle Ray Clifton of Tecumseh, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Dakota and Hunter Clifton; and eleven nieces and nephews, Bryan Loop of Des Moines, Iowa, Michael Loop and wife Amy of Wichita, Kansas, Robert D. Loop of Wichita, Kansas, Bill Loop of Wellington, Kansas, Ronnie Stuever and wife Brianna of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Beth Kruck of Lewisville, Texas, Jade Powell of Enid, Oklahoma, Jason Stuever and wife Jill of Enid, Oklahoma, Angela Prince and husband Chris of Blackwell, Justin Stuever and wife Lori of Elk City, Oklahoma, and Ashley Mimbela and husband Gera of Edmond, Oklahoma; fourteen great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bill and Charlotte Ellis of Blackwell, and Bonnie Dotson and Donnie Cowan both of Tulsa.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Alice Stuever; a sister, LaVona Sue Stuever; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie (Mary Klocke) Stuever and Mr. and Mrs. Everett (Henrietta Kort) Harshman.
Funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 22nd in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Blackwell with Father Larok O. Martin of St. Joseph's Catholic Church officiating. Scripture readings will be presented by Max Stuever. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Serving as casketbearers will be Bryan Loop, Michael Loop, Robert D. Loop, Bill Loop, Ronnie Stuever, Jason Stuever and Justin Stuever.
