Sue Johns of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at the Ponca City Medical Center in Ponca City, Oklahoma, at the age of 58 years.

Sue Johns was born on February 10, 1952, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Lee Morris and Mary Ilene (Shockley) Anthony. She grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools graduating from Blackwell High School in 1970. She then furthered her education at cosmetology school. After completing her certification, she began working in Blackwell as a hairdresser and later worked for Conoco and L.A.B.W. She married Ronnie Smith and they made their home in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She later married Tommy Harold Johns on August 30, 2002, in Blackwell and they made their home in Blackwell. On December 22, 2009, Tommy preceded her in death and she continued to make Blackwell her home. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, camping and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Tara Smith of Blackwell, Oklahoma; one son, Dary Smith of Blackwell, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob Anthony of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Jim Anthony of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 a. m., Saturday, March 13th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Spencer of Albright United Methodist Church in Ponca City, Oklahoma, officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Honorary Casketbearers will be Cash Anthony, Don Wellman, Dean Bay and Nolan Brown.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the Hospice of North Central Oklahoma in Ponca City, Oklahoma, in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
