Obituary

Mary Ann Buesing of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at her home in Blackwell at the age of 82 years.

Mary Ann Buesing was born on June 26, 1930, in Wichita, Kansas, to Olney Howard and Bessie Lucille (Ritchie) Borst. As a young girl she lived in Nebraska until moving with her family to Blackwell at the age of five. She attended Blackwell Public Schools graduating in 1948. She furthered her education by attending Northern Oklahoma Junior College in Tonkawa. On November 7, 1949, she married Floyd Earl Buesing in Blackwell and she served her family as a homemaker. In 1969 the couple purchased Wolfe's Grocery and they operated the store until 1979. Mary then worked at Blackwell Nursing Home as a C.M.A. until her retirement in 1997. Her husband preceded her in death on November 5, 2009, and she continued to make Blackwell her home. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she served as a nursery worker for many years and assisted with the Christian Women's Fellowship funeral dinners. She also held membership in the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid reader.

She is survived by a son, Kenny Buesing and wife Lori of Blackwell; four daughters, Cindy Hart and husband Larry of Blackwell, Janet Reser and husband David of Blackwell, Susan Siner of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Stacie Hoelting and husband Calvin of Blackwell; ten grandchildren, Sherry Dunnington and husband Steve, Eddie Hart and wife Jana, Dawn Sheaffer and husband Mike, Kyle Reser and wife Casey, Jessica Deppen and husband David, Melissa Buesing, Kiara Hoelting, Trinity Hoelting, Sara Darling and husband Mike, and Carlie Wellington and husband Patrick; a step-granddaughter, Tiffany Clark and husband Joe; and eleven great grandchildren, Wyatt and Brook Dunnington, Kylie Hart, Elle Sheaffer, Karman and Maddox Wellington, Tyler Clark, Evelyn Reser, Cohen Darling, and Harlow and Hartlee Deppen.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Nancy Hutchison.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 15th in the First Christian Church in Blackwell with granddaughter, Sara Darling, officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Steve Dunnington, Eddie Hart, Mike Sheaffer, Kyle Reser, David Deppen and Patrick Wellington.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Christian Women's Fellowship Ministry at the First Christian Church in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
