Margret Mearie Lambert formerly of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Saturday evening, August 8, 2009, at her home in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 80 years.
Margret Mearie Lambert was born on April 17, 1929, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Robert Newton and Maggie Elizabeth (Lewis) Saxon. She grew up in Seminole and remained there until she moved in 1954 to Blackwell and began working at Bob's Grill and Turvey Packing Company. In 1960 she moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where she worked for B. C. Glass Plant. On January 27, 1961, she married John Loren Lambert in Sapulpa and they settled in Sapulpa and Blackwell. In 1967 they moved to Wichita, Kansas, and worked for Cessna Aircraft for eleven years before working for Boeing Aircraft as a bench mechanic until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Doris Cunningham of Wichita, Kansas; eight grandchildren, David Jewett and wife Teri, Bobby Jones and wife Danielle, Billy Jewett and wife Bridgett, Becky King and husband Buck, Melody Bryson and husband Lance, Charla Combs, Danny Cunningham and wife Renee and Duncan Wallace; nineteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven children, Debra Wallace, David Cunningham, Darla Combs, Diana Fleming, Donna Cunningham, Dwana Cunningham and Danny Cunningham; six sisters; and three brothers.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 12th in the Blackwell Cemetery with James W. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
