Lyman Nephi Attebery of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at the Servant Living Center in Medford, Oklahoma, at the age of 71 years.
Lyman Nephi Attebery was born on December 21, 1941, in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He was the son of C. Edward and Betty Nell (Overholt) Attebery. He grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools graduating from Blackwell Highschool in 1959. Following his education he moved with his parents to Utah. On November 17, 1959, he entered the United States Navy serving until December 20, 1962. Following his discharge he traveled working various jobs including black jack dealing in numerous casinos, and being a lift operator for a ski resort. Later in life he returned to Blackwell. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Church. He enjoyed coin collecting, fishing and watching Television.
He is survived by one sister, Brenda Corbin of South Dakota; two brothers, Gary Attebery of Ogden, Utah, and Dennis Attebery of Utah; and close friend, Bob Blubaugh of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
