Linda Kay
Lively
Apr 8, 1948 — Oct 21, 2026
Ponca City, Oklahoma
Monday
Linda Kay Lively was born in Blackwell, OK on April 8, 1948 to Jay D. and Ruby (Walton) Womack. She slipped away to Heaven on October 21, 2026 after a short but brave journey with ovarian cancer.
Linda grew up in Deer Creek, Oklahoma where she attended the First Christian Church and was active in school sports and music. After graduating from Deer Creek High School in 1966, she married Leon Lively and started their 60-year adventure together. They lived in and around Deer Creek where they raised their family and then moved to various places in Kansas and Oklahoma before retiring to Ponca City in 2010.
Linda was never afraid to try something new and explored a variety of hobbies and jobs throughout her life. She had a special gift for growing and nurturing beautiful plants and flowers. She enjoyed music and you could often hear her humming as she worked in the kitchen. She loved to travel – especially on cruises and unchartered road trips, playing card games, catching the biggest fish, any and all church activities, and being in the company of family and friends.
Linda’s love for others was evident in the many ways she cared for those around her. Her servant’s heart was a blessing to her family, church, and community. Whether volunteering her time, preparing a meal, or quietly helping someone in need, Linda generously gave of her time talents. She spent many years volunteering for the Red Cross and Hospice of North Central Oklahoma. She was the best example of how to show up for people and we are forever grateful for that.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Jay D. and Ruby Womack and her brother Jerry Joe.
Linda will be forever loved and deeply missed by the love of her life, Leon; her children, Lori Budde and husband Harlan of Oklahoma City, and Lonnie Lively and wife Kari of Ponca City; her grandsons, Cooper Lively and Carson Lively of Ponca City; Cooper’s fiancée, Madi Linder; Carson’s partner, Maddy Milton; and the greatest joy of her life, her great-granddaughter, Maisy Lively.
She will also be missed by her extended family, including grandsons, Jason Budde and Ryan Budde and his wife, Darcy; and great-grandchildren, Bryce Budde and wife Chloe, Parker Budde, Gage Budde, and Marley Budde; sister, Vickie Coleman, and many other family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 26, at Mt. Olive Cemetery near Nardin, OK.
Honorary pallbearers include Cooper Lively, Carson Lively, Travis Coleman, Bryce Budde, Lawrence Angle, Eric Angle, Wayne Davis, Rick Hoemann, Randy Hoemann, and Royce Hoemann.
In lieu of flowers, Linda’s family suggests you honor her with a donation to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma where she enjoyed volunteering her time for many years. Donations may be sent in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon Ave., Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631 or at the following link: https://www.hospiceofnorthcentraloklahoma.org/donate.html
