Larry David Flick of Wellston, Oklahoma, died early Tuesday morning, January 15, 2013, in the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City at the age of 66 years.
Larry David Flick was born on September 3, 1946, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Harlan Vernon and Mable Fay (Smith) Flick. He grew up in Ponca City attending Ponca City Public Schools. Following his education he moved to Mustang, Oklahoma, and began working for A.T. & T. which later became Lucent Technologies. He retired as an inspector after thirty-one years of service in 2000. In 2008 he moved to Wellston to make his home. He was a member of the Baptist Church and enjoyed astronomy and watching television.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Flick of Wellston, Oklahoma, and Christy Stites of Haltom City, Texas; a son, Jason Flick of Yukon, Oklahoma; two sisters, Linda Dobbs and Carolyn Bringham both of Wellston; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dennis Flick.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 19th in the Newkirk Cemetery in Newkirk, Oklahoma, with the Rev. Cliff Johnson of the Tabernacle Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Newkirk Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in his honor with the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for hearing impairments in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
