Kathryn Ann Sprueill of Braman, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, in the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 71 years.

Kathryn Ann Sprueill was born on November 2, 1938, in Bristow, Oklahoma, to Homer and Juanita R. (Grace) Cassady. As a young girl she moved with her family to Blackwell where she grew and graduated from Blackwell High School in 1957. She furthered her education by attending Colorado Christian College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She married Bill James Sprueill on May 21, 1960, in Belle Plaine, Kansas, and they settled in Blackwell. She worked in various restaurants including Al's Drive-In in Blackwell. In 1978 they moved to Braman to make their home. Her husband preceded her in death on January 27, 2007, and she continued living in Braman. She attended The Tabernacle Church in Blackwell and enjoyed bird watching and traveling to Branson, Missouri.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy McClellan of Davis, Oklahoma; three sons, Bill Sprueill Jr. of Kaw City, Oklahoma, Tim Sprueill of Braman, Oklahoma, Rick Sprueill of Braman, Oklahoma, a son-in-law, Larry Lunn of Braman, Oklahoma; her sister, Alma Roberts of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Anita Lunn; two brothers, Dennis and Pete Cassady; and a granddaughter, Anita Sprueill.

Graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 3rd in the Braman Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Johnson of The Tabernacle in Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Braman Cemetery.
