Julia Inez Harman of Lamont, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 4, 2013, in the Enid Senior Care in Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 66 years.
Julia Inez Harman was born on June 24, 1946, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Lee Lloyd Harold and Lenora Capitola (Brown) Toney. As a young girl she moved with her family to El Dorado, Kansas, and later to Rosalia, Kansas, where she attended school. Following her education she married Gerald Emory Harman on September 3, 1963, in El Dorado and they settled on a farm near Nardin, Oklahoma, where she served her family as a homemaker. She also served for several years as a licensed pastor. In 1992 she began working at the Blackwell Wal-Mart and worked there for ten years until her retirement. Her husband preceded her in death in December of 2012 and she continued to make Lamont her home before moving to Enid in October of 2012. She was a member of the Prairie View Assembly of God Church in Lamont. She enjoyed crocheting and sharing the Lord with people.
She is survived by a daughter, Helene Thompson of Newkirk, Oklahoma; three sons, Gary Harman of Lamont, Jeremy Harman of Blackwell, and Gerald Harman of Dudley, North Carolina; two sisters, Anna Shuyler of Deer Creek, and Mary Toney of Blackwell; two brothers, Lee Toney of Cherryvale, Kansas, and Isaac Toney of Blackwell; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Danny Toney; and two sisters, Maudina Toney and Delores Toney.
Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 8th in the Blackwell First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Bill McKissick officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Nardin.
Casketbearers will be Gary Harman, Gerald Harman, Jeremy Harman, Mike Thompson, Gabriel Harman and Jimmy Lanning.
A memorial has been established in her honor with the Prairie View Assembly of God Church in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
