Joyce Marie Byrd of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Friday, January 3, 2014, at her residence in Blackwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 56 years.
Joyce Marie Byrd was born on December 17, 1957, in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Harold Clinton and Annabell (Bumgardner) Byrd. She grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools. Following her education she became an mother and later a grandmother, spending her whole life in Blackwell. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, and reading.
She is survived by one daughter, Daphne Coldiron, of Perry, Oklahoma; three sons, Tristan Goans of Wilburton, Oklahoma, Trenton Goans of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Dillon Chambers of Blackwell, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Zachary, Tanner, Audra, Brayden, and Izabella; three sisters, Mary Tucker of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Linda Clark, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Brenda Reese of Texarkana, Texas; and one brother, Larry Byrd of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Gary Byrd; one sister, Peggy Byrd; and one stillborn brother, Harold Byrd Jr.
Private family services will be announced at a later date.
