Adrah JoAnne "Jo" Sisk of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Thursday morning, July 10, 2008, in the Blackwell Regional Hospital at the age of 75 years.
Adrah JoAnne "Jo" Sisk was born on December 2, 1932, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Cliff and Veryl G. Criger. She grew up in Blackwell before moving with her family to Wichita, Kansas, in 1940, where she attended Wichita Public Schools graduating from Wichita North High School in 1951. She married Erle Dean Sisk on June 24, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas, and they settled there. They then moved to California where her husband was stationed during the Korean War. Following the war they returned to Wichita and she began her banking career working for several banks in Wichita including Fourth National Bank. In 1979 they moved to Rogers, Arkansas, and she worked for Arvest Bank until her retirement. In 2001 they moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma, to make their home. She was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed automobile repair.
She is survived by her husband, Dean Sisk of Blackwell; a son, Rodney Dean Sisk of Wichita, Kansas; a sister, Vee Gordon of Wichita, Kansas; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2008, in Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with the Rev. Larry Adkisson of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
