Ivan Jack Pierce formerly of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Sunday morning, March 1, 2009, in the Washington State Soldiers Home in Orting, Washington, at the age of 78 years.
Ivan Jack Pierce was born on August 6, 1930, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Jack and Hattie I. (Frakes) Pierce. Following his education he entered the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Following his discharge he moved to Braman, Oklahoma, where he married Nancy Newcomb and he worked in construction.
He is survived by two daughters, Liane Brand, and Caroline Pierce both of Berlin, Germany; one granddaughter of Berlin, Germany; one niece; and sister-in-law of Washington State.
He was preceded in death by one son, Eric Pierce.
No services are planned and following cremation he will be interred in the Braman Cemetery in Braman, Oklahoma.
