Iva Mae Butzbach of Braman, Oklahoma, died Monday night, October 24, 2011, at her residence in Braman, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years.
Iva Mae Butzbach was born on September 26, 1926, in Cox City, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Elbert and Ethel (Kitchen) Hurley. She grew up in Lindsay, Oklahoma, attending Lindsay Public Schools. After her education she married Albert Earl Butzbach Sr. and they settled in Blackwell, Oklahoma. After the Smelter closed they moved to various towns and in the early 1970s they moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas, where they remained till Albert's retirement. They then moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma. On November 4, 2006, Albert preceded her in death and she moved to Braman, Oklahoma. She enjoyed her animals, and little children, everyone who knew her called her grandma. She enjoyed cooking and was a great pancake maker; she was a "mighty prayer warrior",
And loved her family and spending time with them.
She is survived by, two sons, Albert E. Butzbach Jr. of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Larry D. Butzbach of Blackwell, Oklahoma; four daughters, Carolyn Ann Epperly of Braman, Oklahoma, Judy P. Chaney of Enid, Oklahoma, Patsy D. McCollum of Braman, Oklahoma, and Angelita Reece of Blackwell, Oklahoma; twenty one grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; and eleven great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; four brothers; and one son-in-law, Keith McCollum.
Graveside services are set for Friday, October 28, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Longwood Cemetery, with Rev. Jack Adams of New Hope Church in Ponca City, Oklahoma, officiating; burial will follow in the Longwood Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be, Jonathan Baker, Jesse Epperly, Robert Epperly Jr., Paul Epperly, Justin Epperly, and Charles Campbell
Honorary casketbearer will be Brad McPhee.
A memorial has been established with Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
