Obituary

Ida Mae Randolph of Blackwell, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday evening, December 11, 2009, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Blackwell at the age of 96 years.

Ida Mae Randolph was born on June 29, 1913, in Florence, Texas, to Curtis M. and Pearl Ann (Carr) Dove Sr. She grew up in Williamson County, Texas, attending school there. She married Floyd Mervin Randolph on October 4, 1933, in Vernon, Texas, and they settled in Texas where she served her family as a homemaker. They later moved to Oklahoma before moving to California in the early 1940's. They later returned to Texas for a short time before returning to El Centro, California, to make their home. Her husband preceded her in death in 1985 and she continued to make California her home. In 1999 she moved to Blackwell to be near her daughter. She was a member of The Tabernacle Church in Blackwell and enjoyed watching television, reading her Bible and sharing the good news of Jesus to everyone.

She is survived by three daughters, Martha Anderson of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Vivian Johnson of Fresno, California, and Ruth Sheppard of San Antonio, Texas; two sons, Joseph Randolph of Grandview, Missouri, and David Randolph of Colcord, Oklahoma; a sister, Janie Kruger of Texas; a brother, C. M. Dove of Texas; twenty-six grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lois Briggs; a brother, Tom; four sisters, Edna, Lavina, Gertrude and Pauline; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 16th in the Blackwell Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Johnson of The Tabernacle officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with the Salvation Army in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
