Gregory Allen Henry

March 13th, 1959 - June 28th, 2025

Gregory Allen Henry, 66, passed away peacefully in Blackwell, Oklahoma on June 28th, 2025 after a lengthy illness. Gregory was the son of Norman & Caroline (Rouillard) Henry. He was born in Winnebago Neb. March 13th, 1959 and was a member of the Santee Sioux Nation. Gregory grew up in Sioux City, Iowa, was educated in the Sioux City Public Schools. After finishing school he moved to Des Moines for a few years before moving back to his hometown. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Iowa Army National Guard and retired after 20 years. He worked at various jobs throughout his life. After retiring from work, he moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma with his daughter and Son-in-law.

Gregory is survived by his daughter Nicole (Jason) James of Blackwell Oklahoma and a son Gregory Allen Henry II of Sioux City, step-son Michael Stetson of Florida, two brothers, Geoffrey (Marcia) Henry of South Sioux City, NE, Dennis Charles Henry of Bristol, IN and a sister, Denise (Michael) Semple of Sioux City, Ia. Gregory had seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four nephews and three nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, Mark and Bertha (York) Henry and maternal grandparents Antoine H. and Millie (Denny)Rouillard.

A celebration of life will be scheduled in Sioux City, Iowa at a later date.
