Obituary

Gary Wayne Lambert of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died early Friday morning, November 27, 2015, in the AllianceHealth Blackwell at the age of 64 years.

Gary Wayne Lambert was born on August 7, 1951, in Blackwell to Ben Orvis and Frances Lorene (Blubaugh) Lambert. He grew up in Blackwell and attended Blackwell Public Schools. Following his education he married Cathy Pearman in 1967 and they lived in various towns in Oklahoma. In August of 1971 he entered the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He was discharged in October of 1976. Following his discharge he began driving a truck for Sisco Trucking Company in Kensett, Arkansas. He drove a truck for over fifteen years until ill health forced his retirement. In 2009 he returned to Blackwell to make his home and on October 16, 2012, he married Elizabeth Ann Sroufe in Newkirk and they settled in Blackwell. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Liz Lambert of Blackwell; two daughters, Emmalina Khaitov of Plattsmouth, Nebraska and Tammy Livingston of Kensett, Arkansas; three sons, Shane Lambert of Ponca City, and Tony and Tracy Lambert of Kensett, Arkansas; four sisters, Kathy Silks of Tonkawa, Dina Lambert of Bringham, Texas, Mickey Lambert of Shidler, and Bennie Lambert of Shidler; three brothers, Orvin Lambert of Enid, Roger Lambert of Ringwood, and Rick Catcher of Rose, Oklahoma; twenty-three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Gary Lambert Jr.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1st in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with President Bryant Hardy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Military rites will be performed by the United States Army.

A memorial has been established in his honor with Disabled Veterans in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
