Garrett Sinclair Harris of Ponca City, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at the age of 23 years.
Garrett Sinclair Harris was born on March 17, 1986, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Frank Lee and Carolyn Sue (Cronin) Harris. He grew up in Ponca City attending Ponca City Public Schools until his senior year when he moved to Moore, Oklahoma, and attended Southmoore High School. Garrett worked in numerous positions in the Moore and Norman area before returning to Ponca City in 2009. He was a wonderful and caring Christian young man and a devoted son, brother and friend. With his gorgeous smile, beautiful eyes and contagious humor he would light up a room in minutes. Garrett enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He couldn't wait until the next "Cannon family reunion". He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Harris-Gray and husband Dennis of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and his father, Frank Harris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers, Craig Thilsted and Monica Cooper of Dallas, Texas, Greg Harris and wife Denna of Piedmont, Oklahoma, and Ryan Harris of Norman, Oklahoma; step-sisters, Gayle Childress and husband John, Julie Mazurier and husband Jeff of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Lea Lake of Newkirk, Oklahoma; and grandparents, Bob Cronin of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Glenna Harris of Norman, Oklahoma, and Clifton and Jean Gray of Peckham, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his very special great grandmother, Clover Cummings of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert "Bobby" Thilsted; grandmother, Virginia Cannon Cronin; grandfather, Leroy Harris; and great grandparents, John and Louise Cronin, Lawrence Sinclair and Jennie Goodson Cannon and Frank Cummings.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 15th in the First Christian Church in Blackwell with the Rev. Robert Johnson and Rev. Cliff Johnson of The Tabernacle officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Brent Taylor, Tom Cannon, Kyle Sisney, Jeff Mazurier, John Childress and Marshall Harris. Honorary casketbearers include Ty Harrington, Jack Turner, John Smith, David Parker, Jacob Stewart, Thomas Kelley and Tyler Butterfield.
