Frank Kucera Jr., resident of Deer Creek, died February 11, 2012, at his home at the age of 85.

Frank Kucera Jr., was born November 7, 1926, in Geuda Springs, Kansas, to Frank and Mary Kaiser Kucera. He grew up northwest of Newkirk, Oklahoma, and attended Pleasant View Country School and graduated from Newkirk in 1944. After graduation he purchased a farm from his parents north of Deer Creek. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952 and the Army Reserves from 1952-1957.

Frank married Anna Louise Kuchar on December 26, 1959, in Oxford, Kansas, and they lived their entire married life on the farm north of Deer Creek. The couple celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Frank was a member of Blackwell Church of Christ. He served on the Deer Creek-Lamont School Board, the Grant County ASCS Committee, and was a member of several farm and commodity organizations and local coops.

His hobbies included spending time with his family, his life love of farming and playing polkas on the accordion.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Louise Kucera; four daughters, Linda Roblyer and husband Pete Roblyer of Fulshear, TX; Barbara Regier and husband Paul Regier of Deer Creek; Francie Tolle and husband Chuck Tolle of Deer Creek; and Brenda Taylor and husband Derry Taylor of Nardin; grandchildren, Cody Roblyer, Houston, TX, Ciera Roblyer, Fulshear, TX, Craig and Sierra Regier, Deer Creek, Colton Regier, Deer Creek, Clint and Cole Tolle, Deer Creek, Dakota and Austin Taylor, Nardin; and a sister, Louise Williamson of Blackwell Oklahoma.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Kaiser Kucera.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at Blackwell Church of Christ with Lanny Jobe of Blackwell Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in the Caldwell Cemetery in Caldwell, Kansas.

Honorary casketbearers will be Ciera Roblyer, Cole Tolle, Austin Taylor, Raymond Miller, Lewis Kuchar, David Kuchar and Sierra Regier.

Casketbearers will be Paul Regier, Derry Taylor, Pete Roblyer, Chuck Tolle, Cody Roblyer, Craig Regier, Colton Regier, Dakota Taylor and Clint Tolle and Tracy Tebow.
