Floyd E. Buesing of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday morning, November 5, 2009, at his home in Blackwell at the age of 80 years.
Floyd E. Buesing was born on November 12, 1928, in Blackwell to George E. and Chrystal (McGill) Buesing. He grew up on a farm east of Blackwell and attended Blackwell Public Schools graduating in 1946. He married Mary Ann Borst on November 7, 1949, and they made their home in Blackwell. He entered the United States Navy in September of 1948 serving during the Korean Conflict. The last two years of service he was stationed in Korea until his discharge in 1952. Following his discharge he spent the next fifty-five years working in the oilfield for Weaver Well Service, Gene Porter and Shebester-Bechtel. He owned and operated Wolfe's Grocery Store from 1969 until 1979. He also served as administrator for the First Christian Church in Blackwell and worked for his son at Buesing Pump and Supply for the last eight years. He was an active member of the First Christian Church in Blackwell.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Buesing of Blackwell, Oklahoma; a son, Kenny Buesing and wife Lori of Blackwell, Oklahoma; four daughters, Cindy Hart and husband Larry of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Janet Reser and husband David of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Susan Siner of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Stacie Hoelting and husband Calvin of Blackwell, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Dennis Siner of Muskogee, Oklahoma; a sister, Wanda Hockett of Blackwell, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Sherry Dunnington, Eddie Hart, Dawn Sheaffer, Kyle Reser, Sara Darling, Carlie Wellington, Jessica Deppen, Melissa Buesing, and Kiara and Trinity Hoelting; step-granddaughter, Tiffany Clark; seven great grandchildren, Wyatt and Brook Dunnington, Kylie Hart, Elle Sheaffer, Karman and Maddox Wellington, and Tyler Clark; and many other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dale and Ivan Buesing; and a sister, Dorothy Adams.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 9th in the First Christian Church in Blackwell with the Rev. Jeff Koch and Sara Darling officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery with military rites performed by the Blackwell American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Honorary casketbearers will be R. C. Bechtel, Frank Dyer, Mike Briggs, JoDel Shepherd and Paul Michael. Serving as casketbearers will be David Buesing, Rick Buesing, Mike Buesing, Eddie Hart, Kyle Reser and Roy Adams.
