Obituary

Esther Herolanda Kahle was born on October 4, 1909, near Braman, Oklahoma, to Francis Fredrick and Lillian Mae (Meier) Priboth. In 1926 she moved with her family to Blackwell where she attended Blackwell Public Schools. On October 10, 1929, she married Louis Adolph Kahle in Blackwell and they settled on a farm northeast of Peckham, Oklahoma, where she served her family as a homemaker. In 1940 they moved to a farm east of Peckham and lived there until their retirement in 1965. They then moved to Blackwell and resided at 1701 S. Main, which was her parent's home and also where Louis and she were married. They spent many wonderful years in this home and entertained many friends and family throughout the years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Blackwell and helped to serve many funeral dinners over the years. Her husband preceded her in death on February 21, 1990, and she continued to make Blackwell her home until February of 2006 when she moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to be near one of her granddaughters and family.

She is survived by three granddaughters, Rhonda Fiebelkorn of Macomb, Michigan, Brenda Flasch of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Clay Kahle of Lakeville, Minnesota; a daughter-in-law, Ernestine Kahle of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and seven great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death on April 9, 2004, by a son, Walter William Kahle; three brothers, Francis, Delmore and Walter Priboth; and three sisters, Pearl Kelle, Martha Schurter and Carolyn Hinton.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 25th, in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Blackwell with the Rev. Steven Stoll officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Ron Bersche, Jim Hinton, Don Priboth, Ron Kahle, Neil Kahle and Jerry Magers.
