Obituary

Dovie Lou Richmond was born on January 27, 1926, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Jesse and Myrtle (Gay) Webb. She grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools graduating in 1944. She married Lloyd Everett Richmond in 1947 in Wellington, Kansas, and they settled in Blackwell where she worked as a sales clerk for the Lew Howard Drug Store and worked there until the store closed. She then began working for Hutton Pharmacy until her retirement in the early 1990's. She enjoyed making various handcrafts and sharing them with friends and family. She also enjoyed traveling the United States with her husband.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Richmond of Blackwell; a son, Michael Richmond and wife Linda of Blackwell; two sisters, Jessie Sullenger of Redlands, California, and Jean Birdsong of Nebraska; a brother, Tommy Webb of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and a grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and several brothers and sisters.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 14th, in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Koch of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Greg Webb, Bobby Webb Jr., Johnny Webb and Butch Webb.
