Dorothy Oard of Wichita, Kansas, died Monday morning, May 30, 2016, at her residence at the age of 93 years.

Dorothy Evelyn Oard was born on December 27, 1922 in Three Sands, Oklahoma to George and Agnes M. (Hanyka) Baumgardner.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and reading. Dorothy was a beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt.

She is survived by daughter Karen Downing of Wichita, Kansas; son Larry Oard and wife Jean of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; Sisters Alyce Joyce Kohler of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Garnet Barton of Eugene, Oregon; sister in law Mary Baumgardner of Braman, Oklahoma; brother in law Gerald Oard and wife Margie of Braman, Oklahoma; as well as three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Agnes Baumgardner; husband Warren Oard; Sister Ella Mae Barclay; and a step brother George Baumgardner.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 3rd, 2016 in the Braman Cemetery.

Honorary casketbearers will be Todd Murphy, Cale Wilson, Colby Wilson, Brandon Traffas, Jim Koesel, and John Hood.
