Donaleen Beatrice Jennings of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Sunday morning, March 30, 2008, in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Blackwell at the age of 85 years.
Donaleen Beatrice Jennings was born on May 16, 1922, in Post, Texas, to Ullie Isom and Clara (Langford) Bridges. She grew up and attended school in Levelland, Texas, graduating from Levelland High School. She furthered her education by attending business college. She married William Warren Jennings on June 16, 1944, in Levelland and that same year they moved to Blackwell and settled on a farm west of Blackwell where she served her family as a homemaker. Her husband preceded her in death on December 29, 1984, and she continued to live on the farm. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blackwell.
She is survived by her daughter, Clara Janette Deskin of Edmond, Oklahoma; a son, John Bert Jennings of Amarillo, Texas; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 1st in the Blackwell Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Foos of the Nardin Methodist Church officiating.
Honorary casketbearers are Harvey Paige, Derry Paige, Joel Cordell, Mark Cordell, Steve Varner, Euel Henry and J. D. Soulek.
